Maison Marc

Marc is the name of my grandfather. He was born in 1923 in Burgundy in the small village of Chemilly-sur-Yonne.

In the 50s, he cultivated on the lands of his childhood, his first pickles to provide a local cannery.

Formerly in the Yonne, the production of Cornichons was “a booster” for families, who cultivated a few rows in their garden to sell them to the cannery. Then gherkins production became more professional and the department counted up to 35 producers.
